Three-year performance of blood donation campaign

According to the government contract, the agency made a research and review of efforts to promote mass blood donation and its components during the previous three years. The agency made an awareness assessment in 72 regions of Russia relative to the voluntary blood donation program to identify public attitude to the program. The research used a wide range of sociological tools, including questionnaires, telephone surveys and in-depth interviews.

The agency monitored the blood supply service operations in various regions of Russia to check compliance of the standards and conditions in healthcare centers. The ultimate monitoring purpose was to adjust the communication campaign to promote blood donation with a view to research results. The research involved about 25,000 people in 72 regions.
