The first Index of Inward Investment appeal of Russian’s regions is published in the national media

Publicity was the first agency to set up and launch the first Index of Inward Investment Appeal of Russian regions in the National Media. The first Index of TOP-20 Regions was published by Rossiyskaya Gazeta (The Russian government daily newspaper of record which publishes the official notices, statements and documents of state bodies).  The Index immediately obtained coverage in the media.

The idea behind the Index is to act as a motivational tool to encourage regional press services to disseminate information about activities that are directly related to inward investment to the regions. The Index has been constructed around sectors  by the National Rating of Investment Climate of Russian Regions (http://www.investinregions.ru/en/rating/), which was launched by President of Russia in 2014 and reflects various factors and key indicators.

The Index is supported by the Agency for strategic initiatives and based on data of media monitoring and analysis system «Medialogia». 85 regions of Russia are examined in the context of investment attractiveness in the media using more than 30,000 Russian media.

The Vologda Region has taken first place in the Index.   Moscow came in second and the Magadan Region, third. Moscow and Perm Regions complete  the TOP-5.

Winning criteria for the Index are related to major events and initiatives dedicated to improving the investment and business climate, which took place in the Region during the month. The Index of investment attractiveness in the media will be published on a monthly basis in order to monitor and track  movement and changes.
